ASV, a Yanmar Compact Equipment brand renowned for its versatile compact track loaders and skid steers, has introduced its newly redesigned RT-65 Posi-Track loader. This updated model is crafted with a focus on enhancing productivity, user-friendliness, and performance, catering specifically to contractors and owner-operators within the construction and landscaping sectors.
The new RT-65 is powered by a Tier 4 Final Yanmar diesel engine, marking a significant upgrade from its predecessor. According to Peter Ovrebo, Product Management Director for North America at Yanmar Compact Equipment North America, “We are dedicated to delivering more durable and high-performing equipment to our clients. The RT-65 represents a major leap forward. It’s not just powered by Yanmar but has been completely redesigned, making it a groundbreaking model that promises to enhance productivity and ease of use on the jobsite.”
This next-generation RT-65 features a radial-lift design and comes equipped with a 67.1-horsepower Yanmar engine. It offers an optional high-flow hydraulic system with a capacity of 26.7 gpm. The loader’s efficient hydraulic system, coupled with direct drive pumps, provides a robust performance with a rated operating capacity of 2,000 pounds and a tipping load of 5,714 pounds.
One of the standout features of the RT-65 is its Posi-Track rubber track undercarriage, which ASV highlights for its exceptional traction and mobility. Weighing 7,385 pounds, the RT-65 includes a sophisticated suspension system featuring two independent torsion axles per undercarriage. This design ensures a smooth ride across diverse terrain while maintaining a low ground pressure of just 4.2 psi. Such characteristics make it ideal for tackling steep, wet, muddy, and slippery conditions.
